Conference location
All workshops, talks, and panels will be held at and around the Institute of the Americas (IOA) at UCSD, which can be found on the Google map below. The Institute is adjacent to North Torrey Pines Road and a short walk to the ocean cliffs.
Our opening event on Friday evening will be held at the Bella Vista Café and our conference banquet at the UCSD Faculty Club. Both are short walks/wheel from the primary conference center. Breakfasts & lunches will be provided at Cafe Ventanas, which is adjacent to the IOA.
The hotel conference is the Sheraton La Jolla Hotel, located just south of campus. Shuttle service will be provided between the hotel and the IOA on the mornings and evenings of Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Meals
Breakfasts & lunches will be provided at Cafe Ventanas. All attendees will be provided a $50 meal card for two breakfasts and two lunches; this card must be returned at the end of the conference.
On Saturday night, the conference banquet will be held at the UCSD Faculty Club. A menu for the event will be posted shortly.
Lodging
All students traveling more than 20 miles to the conference are eligible for free housing at the conference hotel, the Sheraton La Jolla Hotel. Each room has two queen beds for 3-4 students. You are encouraged to bring a sleeping bag if you are uncomfortable sharing a bed. Each room has free wireless internet. Shuttles will be arranged for the mornings and evenings to take students between campus and the hotel.
