Application to CUWIP is a two-stage process. First, you must apply through the central APS CUWiP application site.
The application period is September 1 to October 16, 2015 at 12:00am Eastern Time, and you will be informed of your acceptance by the middle of November 2015.
Once you’ve been accepted to the conference, you should register for your nearest CUWIP site, and will pay the $25 registration fee. Registration for the conference site can only happen after you have received a notice from the APS that you have been accepted.
As some conferences in the past have been significantly oversubscribed, you may not be able to attend the CUWIP site of your choice. Preference will be placed on those who are declared physics majors, first-time attendees and regional applicants. However, if you are undeclared or majoring in another field but are seriously considering physics, we still encourage you to apply.
When you register, you will be asked if you are interested in presenting a research poster. Presenting a poster is not a requirement for attending the conference, but we do encourage all students who have been involved in research to bring a poster.
